Exhibition Theme: Becoming Fish

When I was given the exhibition theme “Becoming Fish”
the phrase “四海為家” came to my mind.
One of the most important journeys in my life
took place across 2022 and early 2023.

From my home to yours,
I was discovering what “home” truly means.
During this journey, I stayed in 19 different places—
most only once, some more than once.
On average, I moved every 4.478 days.
Having been to many places though,
all the things I needed were packed in my luggage—
my movable home.

This is where my idea was born:
Home + Luggage + Painting + Luggage Wheels

To achieve the canvas size I wanted,
I combined a wooden block with a wooden canvas,
which accidentally formed a window behind
because of the canvas structure.

What do you think about fish?
If I cannot yet show you that fish can fly
I can at least show you fish can stand on ground
You can at the minimum see the possibilities in life
Wings of Fish
Standing Fish
Stories
Stories throughout time
Are not just flat lines
Many many Up and downs
Many many visits
Love hate beautiful feelings
All the opposites swim in the stories
You are in love
