Sasso Magico (Magic Stone)

Comics

A story about a Magic Stone discovered in the wild.
The story is divided into three parts and is not yet finished.
It is about a magic stone that brings out the best and worst in the people around it.
So, it’s all about the choices humans make.
I have always been fascinated by how humans make decisions around certain themes.

This was an assignment for a comics course, Fumetto Umoristico, that I took in Bologna, Italy during an exchange programme in 2015-2016. The course was taught by Professor Tuono, who passed away a few years ago. I always remember his kindness, comments, and care toward an exchange student like me. I also recall the movie lesson where we watched Harold and Maude, though I couldn’t concentrate that day. I am planning to rewatch it.

The outcome was a creative and nice one, I got high marks for it
but the memories embedded in the drawings while I was studying in Bologna
meant more to me than anything else. <3

Once upon a time,
three men went on an excursion
and made discoveries in the wild.

They investigated every creature. Along the way,
they were attracted by something and walked into a huge bush...
It is a gigantic stone emitting a yellowish, warm, and flourishing light.
They looked into every corner of this gigantic yellow stone.
It was too beautiful to resist,
So they decided to bring some home.
Woohoo!
They carried the stone away happily.
They casually
placed the stone
in different corners
and spots around the house.
A few days later,
something happened
to the living creatures
living near the magic stone.

Things that had been rotten before
regained their vitality.
The three men then
gathered to discuss the magic stone.
They were amazed
by the positive effects it brought.

At the same time,
someone hiding behind a tree
overheard their conversation…
The man who overheard the discussion
went to the house of the three men and stole the stones.
He was planning something bad...
To be continued...
